OCTOBER BUTTER FACTORY ARTS CENTRE COOROY
The ignition Awards were created to help expose
our members to high quality ceramics and to aspire
to greater heights by being able to enter a
competitive exhibition open to all potters both
nationally and internationally. We also wanted to
promote and sustain the passion, creativity, quality
and skill involved in creating outstanding artworks
in clay.
This
year's judge will be Jackson Li,
a prominent
ceramics artist from Jingdezhen, China. He has
Masters In Fine Arts from from
Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute
and the
Alfred University.
He is a member of the
International Academy of Ceramics (IAC)
and the founder of China Sanbao Ceramic Working
Village.
For the past ten years, he has served as a professor
and research fellow at China Ceramic Cultural
Research Institute,
Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute.
His work is exhibited and collected internationally.
The awards provide both cash and skill
development opportunities as prizes. We aim to
select the best judges and present the entered works
in a professional and innovative environment.
